Yall do know, right, that u can just disable the software that comes w/it
from running in the background & you'll never have to worry about the
buttons. I don't like it running all the time, particularly since the
scanner isn't always plugged in2 this laptop, so I nuked it. It has no
effect on the scanner's functionality, unless, of course, u wanna use those
buttons. If not, however, it's more than a pain, so ax it. Best way for most
is probly just to remove it in add/remove programs. I personally edited the
registry & took it out of the place where it started up when windows starts,
but, as stated in an earlier post, registry editing is neither for the faint
of heart nor those w/a pausity of technical know-how, so that is not a
recommendation I'd give to most on this list. I wish it would just allow
driver installation only, but, no, of course it has to install all the other
$417 along w/it.
