Hi Scott!

I am so happy to read about this new feature so that the picture descriptions people have worked so hard on will not be lost by the replacement of PQ books. I thoroughly enjoy picture descriptions and have read more children's books since becoming a volunteer to be able to read them, because they can really make a story come alive.

Volunteers,

One of Bookshare's engineers just met with Carrie & I to let us know that as early as next week you will be able to indicate if you have included image descriptions when you submit a book. It will be a separate engineering step later for that information to be visible to members as they search so right now we are just focusing on making sure we have a complete list of our books with image descriptions.

Between now and November 29 please email me the titles of any books that you have submitted with image descriptions. That way we can be certain we mark them correctly in the collection. Once you see the checkbox asking if a book has image descriptions feel free to use it.
