Scott,I just tried with my braille display and still find it difficult, but I think all will be better once it can be downloaded in brf.

Here's the URL: https://wiki.benetech.org/display/BSO/Scanning+and+Proofreading+ManualOnce again, this feedback has been very valuable in getting the design right. We are looking to prioritize new users, blind users, and sighted users (in that order) so the standard solutions are not always the right ones!Scott Rains Benetech Fellow, Bookshare Volunteer Department ________________________________________From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stacey Robinson [staceyr75@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 9:42 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Navigating the Online Manual Scott, I can use refreshable braille as well. What is the address for the manual so I can look with my note taker? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Rains" <scottr@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 10:52 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Navigating the Online ManualQuick poll: Stacey is reading with a screen reader. Lori, you are also? Jill, you are using refreshable Braille? Others? You could have a link for each chapter, and thenhave headings throughout the chapter that shows the different sections. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Rains" <scottr@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 9:04 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Navigating the Online ManualI am not quite sure I follow here. Clearly you are all encountering something similar that disruptsnavigability for you. The first link on the TOC takes you to the start ofeach chapter. Why not just scroll down the page from there? Is the issue that scanning the through a detailed TOC is too much? That that the "Go Back" links scattered throughout the chapter text too intrusive or something else entirely? Not split by various links. Maybe it could have headings instead. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lori Castner<mailto:loralee.castner@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 7:27 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Navigating the Online Manual Hi, Everyone,Am I the only one who finds this online manual that we are reviewing thisweek to be extremely cumbersome to navigate? I am reviewing Section 4 about Proofreading, and whenever I complete reading one small section, I wish there were a link that said "next" so that I could just proceed. Am I missing some simple way to read through this document subsection after subsection? I am not a novice at reading documents with links and other internet materials, but this manual prompts me to feel like a total beginner! Any thoughts appreciated. Lori C.
