Hi Mary,

Based on a suggestion that came in earlier, Susan, my lovely wife, is going
to go through drawing boxes around difficult areas and then reprocess the
images using OCR to hopefully make said screen shots easier to deal with.

Hi Chris,

         If the screen shots are only illustrations of what things 
will look like, you can simply note that.  For example, you might 
write the following surrounded by parentheses  to show that this 
isn't a part of the text. (There is a picture of a screen shot 
described above.)

Perhaps that might help some to cut down on your work?  If your 
screen shots contain material not explained in the text of the book, 
you might be in a different situation.  But if they are serving as 
illustrations, you can simply note that they exist.
