Paula,

If the pages aren't counted as part of the page numbering, then it's best to
put the pages containing the captions for descriptions for pictures at the
end if you consider them necessary for the book. That will prevent the
chance that the Stripper continues numbering the pages with pictures where
the last numbered page leaves off and then picks back up with the correct
numbers when it encounters the next page number, which would cause two pages
to have the same page number. I've not heard that the Stripper is smart
enough to go back and fix that mistake if it does make it. I'm also not
sure how the DAISY readers will handle more than one page with the same page
number either. So, I'd err on the side of caution and not put the Stripper
in the position of possibly making that mistake.

I just recently found this feature in Kurzweill. Obviously, this is a
feature that I need to use. <smile> One question about this feature
though: if there is a section of the book containing pages of photos which
are without page numbers, how can you set Kurzweill to not number those
pages. I tried this recently: to reset the user page number after the
photos, where the numbered pages began again, and Kurzweill didn't allow it.
Anyone know a way around this, or is it better to paste the pages with the
photos at the end of the book after the main content?

Paula,
