Sue and Mayrie;
It really is difficult when editing terms are not used consistently amongst
different programs. For what it is worth, speech recognition handles the word
dash and the word hyphen in the style that sue indicated. It does get very
confusing, however, not everyone is coming from the same background. That's why
some of these discussions can be both frustrating and helpful, depending on
which perspective you come from. For me, it is helpful to know that we are
speaking about the same thing, just using different words.
The funny thing is that growing up I never knew that there was a difference
between a dash or a hyphen, so I probably grew up in Mayrie's school of
learning. Smiles.
