Hi Monica,

Yes, you should ask, but it should be directed to the staff, not to this
list. <smile>

Hi, Sue. Bookshare just got a brand new scanner that scans 90 pages, on both
sides, per minute. They can scan the average paperback in two or three
minutes now, and that blows my mind! Also, they are actively hiring a person
to do nothing but scan and process books. That's why I thought the idea
might work. They still have their old scanner too, and they are planning to
ramp up the number of books they do by the end of the year. I don't know if
my idea is a good one, and that's why I'm asking. Once they have the new
staff member in place, I'm going to send Bookshare around 60 books for
middle school students that I don't have time to work on myself. They can
scan the whole batch of books in an hour or less, and it would take me days.

  Hi Monica,

Not Cindy, but with all the bookshare staff has to do, who would have time
to scan all those books?
