The only reason to put a book in KES format on step one would be if it had images contained in the file which had pictures, graphs, etc. Otherwise, it would be better to do the conversions.

I could easily change them for you, but, how would I get them back in the collection so you could validate them, without breaking my terms of service for the use of the site?

I don't see any reason why there should be a .kes book on step 1 since it is so easy to change them to .rtf. Maybe I'm missing something, though.

Is it hard to change files to .rtf from Kurzweil? There are lots of
books on Step 1 in .kes format. I would love to do some of the WW
ones, but I can't because they are in .kes format. I'm seeing more in
.kes than in .ark, which makes me wonder. Also, seems we're seeing
quite a few good and fair again, and I just rejected one that was
rated excellent. I hated doing it, but I think it has too much garbage
in it. I rejected "Alone, a Widow's Search for Joy."
