If you download the daisy file and convert it into rtf you get rid of
page breaks. This is true no matter what you use to convert. This is
the sole reason we are now allowed to improve books already in the
collection and re-submit using the convert method.

I was thinking of downloading the daisy file into Kurzweil,
converting it to .rtf once I made my changes, and re-submitting it.
I don't know if this would work in openbook. Those who don't have a
scanning program couldn't do this because converting the .xml or
.html file in to .rtf, though it would work, would lose its page numbers.
Good point E. My thinking didn't get that far.
If bookshare did store the .rtf files somewhere then it would be a breeze.

Let me re-phrase the first sentence. I type too fast. The part
which proved to be inefficient in re-submitting books was the part
about page breaks. We need bookshare to give access to the rtf
file. That way page breaks and numbers will be retained. If we edit
a file of a book in the collection and re-submit the edited html as
a rtf file the page breaks are lost. If we edit a .brf file and
re-submit that, the daisy book stays unedited.
