Thanks' for the info Linda. I thank the scan was excellent then. Me and my Aunt went over it and fixed the garbled parts. I had all the pages and page breaks with the right numbers. I have been reading this list and I now wonder if it was all right to send it in with New Times Roman 18 point. That is what I use. I left in what ever format the words were in, bold etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Stover" <liamskitten@xxxxxxxxx>

Tammy,

When deciding to mark as good or excellent, you mark according to how
legible you believe the scan to be. If there is quite a bit of
garbled text or other things which make the scan difficult to read,
you're going to want to mark it as good. If there aren't, then
excellent should be fine. No matter how you mark it, bookshare itself
will give it a quality rating according to how many legible recognized
words there are from its dictionary in the book, so the buck doesn't
stop with you, if that makes you feel any better. And don't worry; I
believe that bookshare takes foreign words in to account when making
the final quality rating. However, some of the older volunteers can
probably clarify the process better for you, as I'm rather new myself

The only real problem anyone will have proofing it is some of the words are Portuguese. I double checked the spelling, but I don't have the odd letters
on my computer. I have the book and will keep it. If someone needs me to
send them the scan of the words as they appear I can do that.
