Hi Jackie!

You are so very sweet...thanks for trying to help me out. It looks like it is workig now. I am going to just upload one book and close-out the website as soon as I do it. I will make sure to count the characters before I submit. I did check for error messages; however, it did not tell me where the error was.

Anyway, it looks like I am up and running...for now. *L* You can scratch my name off of your to do list. *G*

BTW...I am in Miami. You were correct. *L*

Hugs,

Maithe

Maithe, if this is indeed a security problem, please understand that u
can still transmit files while making your computer secure. The
firewall should not be removed--all u need do is unblock whatever it
is the firewall's blocking.

I transmit files to bookshare routinely while my computer is behind
both a software firewall & the firewall active in my router, which,
btw, since no1 explained it 2 u, is the piece of hardware u likely use
2 connect 2 the internet if u have a broadband connection.

When I had a problem w/my synopsis, it did tell me that--u do have to
scroll down the message in order 2 c wussup. At any rate, it would
appear by your address you're in the southeastern United States,
which, depending on how far east, would put u 2-3 hours ahead of me--3
if you're in the eastern timezone, as I suspect, or 2 if in central.
I could call & talk w/yall at about 3 my time, which would b 6 eastern
or 5 central & we could hopefully get 2 the bottom of this once & for
all & get u able to submit.

Remember that the short synopsis is 200 *characters* (not words) &
that includes spaces. I just use the filenames bookshare gives, both
in the rtf & zip versions.

Let me know if you're unable 2 resolve this by yourself & we'll track
it down. Actually, let me know if u resolved it also so I can take it
off the to-do-question mark list lol.

Hi, Maithe,

This thread has been so extensive that someone may have made my suggestion,
but here goes:

The first time I submitted, I had a lot of trouble and found that only one
way of submitting works for me.

When the form comes up, I fill in the author copyright info, choose format and press the browse button to find my file on the computer. When that file
name has been selected, I tab to the title edit box and the name from the
file that I have selected by browsing is there. I then tab to open, select
that and continue with the form.

When I simply typed the file name in the title edit box and did not browse
for the file on my computer, I could not open the file.

Maybe this suggestion will help; I certainly hope so!
