[bksvol-discuss] Re: How Do These "Holds" and "Saves" Work?

Oh, don't apologize...I just mentioned it coming up recently because I was the one to bring it up. <smiles>

Thanks, and sorry for going over old ground. It must have come up just before I joined this list, as I don't remember reading it before.

Thanks.

Hi!!

This was covered about a week ago when I asked the same question.
I think people put this information in the title field, and will do it if a certain person has agreed to validate the book, or a similar situation. It's not a hard and fast rule, and you can certainly take one of those books to validate if it's been on the "step 1" page for a long period of time (a week or two) with no one claiming it. We'd rather see these books moved along.

I've been busy validating (or rejecting, on occasion) books which have been languishing on the step 1 page for a great deal of time, six months or more....

Just wondering: On the Step One page, there are several books having "Save for (insert name)" in front of the title. I was just wondering how this works. I'm not planning at the moment to have any books saved for me, but I was just curious about it.

Thanks.
