Julie, If we read a book in braille and know it needs to be improved, is the only alternative then to do a rescan? ----- Original Message ----- From: Julie Morales To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, December 23, 2005 12:41 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Guidance needed If you only submit the braille files, only the braille files will be replaced in the collection. This usually isn't ideal, because the DAISY files won't be corrected, but if the errors that were fixed were just quirky braille errors, that would be the only reason something like this would be desirable. Take care. Julie Morales Children are fragile. Handle with prayer. --Unknown ----- Original Message ----- From: Westmoreland, J. R. I have 5, so far, books that, I'm pretty sure, are part of the collection. I have taken the print books and rechecked them as well as made .brf files that are redone and completely rechecked for errors. I have .dxp and .brf files for each of these. They have been done with title page and other front matter per NLS specifications. I'm not a certified NLS transcriber but should be able to pass the test to become one. Can these be put back, or be submitted if necessary, to the collection? What do I need to do? I don't have the daisy format for these. Do I need them? The books are: Dykstra's War Fallen Angles The Compleat McAndrew Time Traders Time Traders II Thanks, J. R. ______________________________ J. R.
