Hi Evan.

What version of K1000 are you using when you have this problem? I'd love to take a look at a file that fails in this manner. I'm aware of problems that we have fixed that generate RTF which isn't readable by BookShare.org, but am not aware of any current problems.

I can concur with this. I had that infamous "invalid rtf file" message just last week, and I did what she says here, resubmitted it and it worked. If you are using K1000, then give this a try.

Hi. Are you using Kurzweil to convert the files to rtf? If so, go to the file and open it in Word or Wordpad, insert a space, backspace oover the space, close, and resubmit. That will probably work. We don't know why it does, but it does. <grin>

Actually I'm more than willing to give credit where it's due, but here's
the situation:

I've done all I can with the RTF file for, "Running Alone; Presidential
Leadership...." and have tried submiting it. This process in itself is a
bit tricky, and the filename had to be changed a couple times. At one
point it was called "Desktop", because that's where I was trying to move
it.

Now, however, Bookshare has come back with the judgment that it's an
invalid RTF file. Have tried manually adding the extension, so it might
be doubled. Does the Underscore need to be in the filename, i.e.,
"Running_Alone"?

Thought the simplest thing would be to attach this file to someone who'd
be willing to try submitting it, either as a ghost- or co-validator,
whichever you prefer.

Assuming this is acceptable practice, would anybody be willing to tae it on?

Many thanks, and I can't wait to get te hang of this upload thing. BTW,
anybody have any luck doing same via Firefox?
