Just to follow up on my last message. I said that occasionally, even if not in most cases, I have to go through a number one digit at a time to make it clear to me. The occasions in which that happens is when one number follows another number. In that case it is sometimes hard to tell where one number ends and the other one begins. That is the case with compound fractions. Even then, though, in most cases the context makes it clear what the number actually is. It just doesn't make it clear every time.
