Hi, Lynn! I am really thrown by this, too. Ironically the book you are working on and the one I just finished never had spaces between any punctuation and an ellipsis, so I left it unspaced. There were even occurrences of a question mark or comma followed by an ellipsis or an ellipsis followed by a question mark. To me, it should be situational and there should be a space between ellipses and additional punctuation, but until I have permission, I do it as it appears. Further complicating matters is some of the books I scan have spaces before, after or both with ellipses, and then none, too. What's a girl to do? Grin.
