How about using WE for the poetry scans. Is there a way to use it?----- Original Message ----- From: "Estelnalissi" <airadil@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Jim and Gary, until the end of last November, I used K1000 version 11 and JAWS 5 for almost a year and a half pretty smoothly together. I don't have JFW anymore, but someone I know whose computer I have actually used, has JAWS 9 and K1000 version 11 and they coexist together quite well. Occasionally, you may get them both talking at the same time when you switch focus from some other window to K1000, but I never found it to be a really big issue. If you're in K1000, and hit the Windows-m combo to go to the desktop for example, JAWS usually takes over seamlessly, with only a slight pause.Evan----- Original Message ----- From: <james.homme@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2008 8:19 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Formatting PoetryHi Gary,I don't think JFW and Kurzweil can run at the same time. Maybe someone elsecan chime in about this. Thanks. If youbuildthat into a sound scheme, you can switch to your homemade scheme and whenyou arrow to the indented lines, JAWS will speak them and tell you about the indentations. Alternatively, you can just go into the verbositydialogand turn it on and off if you don't want to go through the process of making the sound scheme. Thanks. This gets sticky when the poet indents lines for asthetic reasons as well. Sorry I can't give you an answer that will always be true. When doing a poetry book, how does one know when lines break because the poet wants it or when they break because a page is only so wide? ----- Original Message ----- From: <james.homme@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 9:55 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Formatting PoetryHi, I know this has been brought up here before, and I forget what theanswerwas, so please forgive me. I downloaded some Robert Frost poetry to readand found that there was no break at all between stanzas, so knowingthatformatting would be a chore at best, I have steered away from validatingpoetry books. What does the stripper mess up about poetry and is thereanyway I can help it avoid doing that? Thanks.
