It's much more complicated, and can get insanely convoluted when showing, for example, how two individuals are related to each other several generations back through something like third cousins once removed! smile. I am still working to see if I can come up with a technique to help create consistent and understandable written descriptions for the more complicated family tree charts and graphics. Jamie Yates has already shared some ideas based on a book she worked on. And I've got some ideas from my mathematician/statistician husband, who is helping. So far, I've contacted several genealogy experts and the Mormon church, with no luck. None of them know how to create these kinds of descriptions for the blind and print disabled.
