Hi Mary,

I know what you mean. I had a book like that just a month ago. I don't know
why Kurzweil does this, but I am never, ever going to proof any more books with
it. Every time I deleted a bunch of pages, the damned program would put them
all back and more! No, never again, ever! It was so frustrating I wanted to
run up to Massachusetts and strangle the software engineers. Yes, I took
Mayrie's advice, and she'll give it to you too. I hope it works for you, I
really, really do. It didn't for me. I finally just put the book in Word, ran
through the whole blessed manuscript and deleted the extra pages, page by page
by page by page by page. Oh, I've never been so malarkifized in my life! If
you want to write me or call me and scream for ten minutes, I'll listen.

Ann P.
