Hi Judy,
There is a book between Cyteen and Regenesis. Thanks to Christina's help, I now know the correct name of this 4th book is Vindication. I read Cyteen recently, and don't want to read book 5 before book 4. Call me odd that way... <lol>
Thanks for the support for these books,
Kellie

Hi Kellie,

Don't feel dumb as dirt! Smile. The book you are looking for is
Regenesis. It is the sequel to Cyteen. It is available from BARD at
http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.nls/db.68751 if you didn't find it when you
searched BARD.

Count me in for wanting to see this book added to the Bookshare
collection too. I'm going to make a wish list request for it. smile.

Also, there is often confusion about the Cyteen books. The listing on
Fantaticfiction.com is slightly confusing.

So here's the history, condensed from an article Cherryh put on her
website a few years ago to help clear up the confusion. smile.

Originally, C.J. Cherryh's book was published as one thick book, Cyteen.
When it went into reprints from a different publisher down the road, the
publisher balked at having it remain one book. The published insisted on
having it chopped into three novels, against her wishes and her best
judgment, which were called:

Cyteen: The Betrayal (book 1)
Cyteen: The Rebirth (book 2)
Cyteen: The Vindication (book 3)

Cherryh hated it being chopped up this way and has felt since then that
it is confusing for the reader and was a mistake for her to allow to
have happened. Since then she has insisted that any other re-issued or
updated versions of Cyteen are in its original one-book format. So the
book "Cyteen" is not an omnibus. It's the book as it was originally
published. smile.

Bookshare does not have the original book as it was published. Instead,
the collection has the three-book versions (The Betrayal, The Rebirth,
the Vindication).

Oh my word, how did I mess That up? Have you found it? I'm on BARD
now, I'll check there and if I find it, it won't need scanning for my
sake.
But yes, that's it!

Hi, Kelly.
I just checked on Paperbackswap. The Paperback of the fifth one
isn't available so I added it to my wishlist.
I couldn't find the fourth one at all. Is there another title for
it? I checked with Vengeance and Cyteen 4 and Cyteen,
Book 4 and found nothing under C. J. Cherryh.

Hi all.
I just read Cyteen by C. J. Cherryh. But I found out I only had the
first 3 books and there are 5 in the series! Bookshare has the original
3, and I'm desperate to read the 4th and 5th.
They are Vengeance (Cyteen 4) and Regenesis (Cyteen 5) Cyteen is
loosely
linked to the larger Union/Alliance series, but is kind of an offshoot.

If anyone would scan these, I would be more than happy to proofread.

Thanks all, and it's good to be back,
Kellie Hatmann

I don't think there's another name. I've really hunted on this one;
truly hard to find.
