Evan,
I agree with what you said in the last message. Even though it is grand to have the credits and I for one appreciate bookshare giving compensation for the hard work everyone does, my and our main focus is to get quality books into the bookshare library so that everyone will have more books to read. I for one, am not here to get recognized for what I do, I am here to build the library so all can read. If I never got another credit that would be OK with me because I want others to enjoy what I and others have read. I'm here to help if! I can and if the day comes where I can't help out give of myself to this cause
then my volunteer days will be over.
People better than I, volunteered and did a fine job long before I thought I'd give it a try and you'll do so long after I may need to be gone. I just want to serve somebody, and when that day ceases then I'll strictly read and joy in what others do. In some ways, I'm gonna be glad when more and more publishers come on board for personal reasons I can't state here. If I ever get caught up in in the I and Me of it all I pray God takes me out of here as a help meet here.
Sorry for the ramble, I'm done.
I just wished I could have helped more and that part of it makes me cry.
Gwen

That's a good point. I really don't care about the credits myself. My main point with my last message was to counter the idea that children's books were easier to scan and proofread than books for adults that are much longer. It ain't necessarily so.

Hi all,

Now, c'mon, folks, the $2.50 is an honorarium, not a salary. We volunteers don't need a salary, that's why we're volunteers.
