Books sitting on the step one page forever is a
different problem. I admire you and am grateful to you
for taking some of the ones that sound boring--and E
does that, too, it seems to me. I'm not so noble. In
fact, (she admittedly shame-facedly) I looked at All
About Love, by Bell Hooks, in the library catalog
(excerpt and reviews) and decided not to take it.
If nobody takes a book that has been sitting on page
one for over a couple of weeks, I've suggested that
the submitter him/herself validate it. That way it
will get into the collection (eventually) and the
person will get the credit. But there seem to be some
people who don't really care.
