Dear Marissa, I would like to weigh in emphatically on the page-number issue. I want them, whatever it takes to have them retained. If it means leaving headers and footers in, so be it. I would rather have too much information than have information irretrievably removed. Page numbers are absolutely essential for students and for anyone doing research. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've used a book from NLS or Bookshare for some research project, and then had to hunt up a print copy in order to track down the page numbers for my footnotes. Please make this issue a priority, and keep print page numbers intact! You want to have page numbers in the electronic text of the books you download as well as in the DAISY tags, yes? What about running headers and footers? Do you want them always stripped out? OR Do you want the option to strip them out via the unpack tool? No editorializing or funny business, just tell me if I have your requests right. Marissa
