If page numbers don't scan, that is fine, but if they were there, or could
be fixed, most of the books I do, they do come out, and can be fixed, except
in the kids picture books where the page numbers aren't present, they
shouldn't be stripped.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to
stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.

But sometimes page numbers have been known not to scan. So even though
books are rejected if they don't have page breaks, I wouldn't want
this to be the case if there were no page numbers.
