I do not remember that discussion. Who said what and when? I would think that if a book has been on the checkout list for a long time there might be a reason such that it is a difficult proof and has been released multiple times until someone finally rejected it.

I sincerely hope that old books that had been languishing on the list weren't summarily deleted on a whim, that would make me very sad.
