I tell you the type of person I like as a guide--the type who, if I hit
something, just says, "Oops," and we both laugh.

That is why even when I am going sighted guide, I have my cane out at an
angle in front of me, call it my "extra insurance" policy.

Course normally I am using Judson and he is following the person we are
with, and of course avoiding obstacles in the path while doing it.

The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to
stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.

Actually, a bubble might be kind of fun to be in, at least at first. I can
imagine it might eventually get kind of lonely :). I think there was some
movie about a boy who lived in a bubble or something, although I've never
seen it.

Staying out of hospitals is always a good thing.
