Jake does his site himself. Volunteers sent him things like hisnts for scanning, validating, etc. and he compiles the lists. The Books added he somehow gets from the bookshare site simultaneously. Until recently, he was able to post them on his site more quickly than bookshare; the list didn't get to the bookshare site until around noon Pacific time the next day. Now they have the additions in proper time--though so far no bookds have been added to the collection since last Friday. People may be gone to conferences--or otherwise busy trying to do all that Gustavo did. It is impressive to me that Jake, being a college student, can do all that he does--just as I'm impressed that Jamie can do all that she does. If by page stripper you mean header stripper, that's done automatically but not too well by something in the bookshare program. Unfortunately it strips out other things, too, like chapter titles and sometimes page numbers, so validators or scanners who pre-validate before submission usually delete the headers themselves. Jamie's procedure--blank line, page number, blank line, text or, when the page number is at the bottom, text, blank line, page number, blank line, page break--is the correct one to follow. And, as someone else posted, to protect chapter titles, put someting lit books title or the word chapter before it so that will get stripped instead of the chapter title or number itself.
