Yep, I do it different ways.
 1. Use active sinc to copy the files from your P"C to the Braillenote. I
used Windows 98 SE up till last year so It worked for me for three years.
Just a warning large files don't like transfering. Which is why i went to
choice two.

2. Purchase a compact flash card reader, a Compact Flash card, and if you
have the old board for the BN a pcmcia Adaptor for Compact Flash. This was
a truly great investment, cost me about $80 and I suspect it is a lot
cheaper now. But this is how i edit all the books I do for bookshare.

I copy them from the computer onto a compact flash card, and then pop that
into the braillenote. Edit the files, export back to .rtf or .txt if .rtf
doesn't work and then copy them back to the computer and upload them.

I haven't tried using the DSL modem to connect the BN to the internet yet.
I am awaiting the money for the next SMA.

Shelley,

Can you still download books to read to Braillenote's flash memoryh or files
if you still have Windows 98 se?

Hey at least you can use the online search. Mine is blocked by a firewall
in our wireless router that I can't work around. So I am still using
Internet Explorer.

It seems that on the Kurzweil listing, books with more than one author are
actually listed separately under the name of each author or editor. I'd
really like to know why my computer has an allergy to Bookshare, but I guess
there are more important things in life, such as lunch. <lol>
