Oh no, Valerie, we don't mean that. We can see blank lines by using the arrow keys. It is very hard to explain. It could be that I shouldn't pay any attention to Word's page count, and just go by the page numbers in the scan, even if pages are added in Word.

This would be a kludge, but if the person who scans for you protects their hard page breaks with a blank line before and after (I do that before sending out my scans), then you would be able to know it is a hard page break instead of a soft one if you have all punctuation turned on. At least I think this
would  work.  I am not blind, so maybe others can chime in...
