When I got my Pac Mate and laptop, a product was installed on both machines
called Active Sync which automatically transfers the most recent files from
a given folder to the other machine. In other words, if you modified a file
with the laptop, that version would be transfered to the Pac Mate, and vice
versa. But I was told when I asked that Active Sync is not part of XP, but
was a separate Microsoft product. You might want to Google it and see what
it costs. It talks perfectly with JAWS, if that is what you have, but once
you do the initial setup, it is automatic and just starts up when you plug
the computers together with a USB cable. Since Active Sync is a Microsoft
product, I don't think it was designed specifically for the Pac Mate, so I
think it should work with a desktop and laptop combo. I could be totally
wrong, of course, and even if it does, there may be less expensive products
that will do the same thing.
