Actually, it is just about that simple. As long as there is a process in all
their programs that runs each day, it could make that check just as you
described it. I've done things like that hundreds of times.
However, I also know from being a programmer, that they have a whole stack
of updates and additions that need to be done. This is probably a little low
on the list of priorities. Unfortunately, everybody gets all mad at you when
their programs are not done immediately. I have suffered that wrath, also!
:-)
Yes, the simplicity does make me laugh and smile.

I got one last night, but I couldn't renew then. I've got to go back now to
see if I can do it. Why is this like this? Why can't the programmers write
an If Statement that works? Gees, even I know you've got to write an If
Statement. If date equals X, then renewal link must show up in user's
account, and notice must be sent.
<smiling> Yes, I know it is a lot more complicated than that. I'm not a
programmer. I can, however, think logically, and I wonder how come the
experts can't do the same thing and implement the logic so it works?
Go ahead Doug Maples, you can laugh at me. I don't mind. As I say, I know
it's a lot more complicated than what I've written down.
