Hi Denise and everyone!

When I scan books, they are ones I want to read, so I proof as I go along too. Now that I have learned more about what to do when proofing from the manual and this list, I will make my scans as proofreader friendly as I can too. I am caught up in the activity of proofing now, because I am enjoying it so much, but plan to scan the books on my bookshelves when I am in the mood to read them and slow down on the proofing.

Yes, I do scan also and I proof as I scan so I have my proof reading scan turned on and pick up the bolded text, Italic, all caps, etc. It takes longer to proof as I go, but I'm reading the book at the same time so in the long run I figure it's easier to scan, read and proof all at the same time. When I'm done reading the book, I'm ready to submit it also. I try to incorporate everything from the list to make the book pretty much ready for admin approval by the time I submit so for proofers it should be a snap. I'm waiting for some Leigh Greenwood books to arrive and then I'll be scanning again. I've been proofing mostly lately.
