Too bad this form is so tedious. I have openbook but don't get to use it much at all. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Monica Willyard" <rhyami@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Cindy. I agree with what you're saying. I don't know if you've thought about how it would actually work though. If someone rejects the book and re-submits it as an rtf, the original submitter won't get credit. As long as Bookshare continues to accept books in these formats, I don't think it's fair to reject a book due to its format. I wish we could take it from step 1, convert it, send it to the admin queue, and have Carrie kick it back to step 1 for validation as an rtf. I have Openbook and would be willing to do that. I don't want to tackle actually validating those books though. We also have a couple of books in wyn format, one of which I'd actually be willing to validate if I could open the danged thing. The really annoying part of this for me is that the poor submitters don't know why we haven't approved their books. Some of them are sitting around thinking that we don't like their books. The truth is that we can't open some of them at all, and others are in a format only some of our volunteers can process.
