Hi, Jamie, I agree the person should have asked, but I wonder if their speech software would not read the copyright symbol. When Mike and I began validating, we were unaware of that symbol, so its silent lurking presence caused us a lot of confusion. Now if I validate a book that uses that symbol, I make a note to the validator when submitting that the copyright is that symbol. I'm sure that for most validators my note is unnecessary, but writing it assures me that a new validator will not be confused. Hope the book gets into the collection soon as I would love to peruse it.
