You are too kind (she says, blushing furiously).

peculiar when I downloaded _Knife of Dreams_ by Robert Jordan. I wanted to
compliment whoever scanned and/or validated this book for apparently going
through it with a fine-toothed comb. It is an impressive job. I'm pretty
perfectionist, and this is really a marvelous copy. Your efforts make a better
reading experience for everyone, and you should know that your work is
extremely highly appreciated not only by me, but by everyone - even if they
don't know who you are by name.

My response is yes, you didn't have to scan it, and yes, your submission is
being processed by Gustavo. How about this? If the book is perfect, I'll ask
Gustavo to leave it but if not, I'll sbumit a better copy on top of yours. Is
that okay?
One other thing I forgot to mention in my previous email: when I submit a New
York Times bestseller, I login with a different username, something like
NewYorkTimes. Gustavo uses the submitter name to track the New York Times
bestsellers, so having a bestseller without the NewYorkTimes submitter name
makes life difficult for him. It would be great if he could track the
bestsellers in a different manner, and I believe that Engineering is creating
new software to take care of this problem, but we're not there yet. Sigh!

Yes, Carrie, I recall that email, and my subsequent email to the list in
response that I had just bought the book, and was planning to scan it. I
did not submit it, however until May 2. Does that mean I should not have
scanned it, or does it mean that it is my submission that is being
processed?
Thanks.

I sent an email on April 23rd, asking if anyone was scanning American
Theocracy or any of the other New York Times bestsellers. The only book
that anyone mentioned was GONE by Kellerman, so I bought the rest of the
books on the list to add to the New York Times bestseller list on Bookshare.
I am processing American Theocracy now.

Sorty if my query is repetitious -- I have not seen the book I
scanned turn
up on the list. Does anyone know if American Theocracy by Kevin
Phillips
has been validated or is in process of being done?
It was submitted on May 2,
Thanks.
