Thanks for the updates, Christina.
The list will only be as good as all of you help me  keep up-to-date and as I
am careful. smile

Ok, here are my updates.
I'll try and keep a better eye on what's been added to the collection in the
future.
Christina

A Secret Rage by Charlaine Harris was scanned by me and is now in the
collection
BSO of Rise of Endymion  I'm not going to bother with this one.  If I run
out of stuff to do, maybe, but you can take it off for now.

Chain Reaction, byJenesi Ash Don't know why my name is on this one.  Maithe
might be scanning it though.

Charmed and Ready, I'm not scanning this one either but Maithe might be.

Come and Get Me, by Alyssa Brooks Same as the previous two.

Eve of Darkness by S. J. Day, someone else already got this into the
collection.  Not my copy though.

Finders Keepers by Linnea Sinclair was scanned by Donna and is being
validated by me as is An Accidental Goddess by the same author.

Fire Sea by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman  I sent this one to Bookshare
and Shane validated it.  It was added to the collection today.

Immortal Danger will be scanned by Nati and validated by me

Jack Vance Treasury, I gave this one up and someone else on this list
scanned it and got it into the collection.

Kitty and the Silver Bullet was scanned by me and proofed by Nancy and is
now in the collection.

Mediterranean Diet, Maithe might be doing this one but not me.

Moon's Fury and Moon's Web will be scanned by me and proofed by Kristin
More Than Fiends will be scanned by Maithe, not me

Noah (Nightwalkers Series #5), Not me but Maithe.
Second Skin is now in the collection
Wanderlust will be scanned by Shannon and proofed by me.  It's under Shannon
on the list of titles.

Sweet Silver Blues was just added to the collection today.

The Other Book in the Series that I forgot the Name of turned out to be
Kitty Takes a Holiday.  I scanned it and Nancy proofed it and it's in the
collection now.

The Blade Itself is in the collection now.

The Mediteranean Diet seems to be on here twice.  Unless it's different
editions.

The Sweetest Thing will be scanned by Nati and proofed by me.

Third Time Lucky  I think Maithe has this one.

Timeless Moon will be scanned by me and proofed by Kristin
Touch of Darkness, Touch of Evil, and Touch of Madness will be scanned by me
and proofed by Nancy.

Wanderlust will be scanned by Shannon and proofed by me

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Accuracy of books being scanned list - question
for all volunteers scanning

Cindy, I think the names of who is scanning each book are
actually very important. I didn't realize it until I started
helping remove the duplicates from this list. smile.

The major reason why I want to know who said they are going to
scan a book is this:  if a volunteer quits, we won't ever know
that the books that they said they were going to scan are no
longer going to get scanned.  Also, people change their mind or
just don't remember that they said they were going to scan
something, and don't let Cindy know.  Also, there have been
software glitches that I'm pretty sure scrambled information, so
that for example a title supposedly being scanned by one person
is really getting scanned by another

I'm thinking here about both perspectives that have been posted
today on the books being scanned lists, that on the one hand, it
has some errors that are fixable or on the other hand that it has
some serious problems that might mean it is more work to correct
it than it is to start over.

I really believe that the only way to know how accurate or
inaccurate the books being scanned list is currently is to ask
the volunteers who scan to look at this list to see if they think
the information regarding titles they intend to scan is accurate
as of now.  Based on that, we'll know better if there are just a
few things to get fixed or if it would be as much work to fix the
errors they're reporting as it is to maybe build something new,
or start over (as horrendous as that may be!). smile.

So, scanners, have any of you other than the one's who have
posted corrections looked at the list?  If not, would you please?
Is it accurate regarding what you're scanning or intending to
scan? If not, what's wrong (for example, you decided not to scan
the book, you never intended to scan a book and have no idea why
you're listed as scanning it, you already scanned the book,
etc.)? If the information pertaining to you and the titles you
intend to scan is accurate, could you post that too? That way
we'll know both the good and the bad! smile.
