E. I don't know about the three Heinlein books Carrie has, but the copy of Podkayne of Mars which is in the collection contains two different endings: the original one that Heinlein wrote and the one that his editor made him substitute. The editor thought people wouldn't like the original ending because it was tragic. This is obviously not the original book, but an edition printed later in his career.
