First of all, we dont need to split points 3 & 4.
I can take up the filesystem/API/Harddisk-OS interaction/Harddisk
working - in terms of the HDD controller and stuff.
Somebody needs to read up of VFS. I feel it is necessary.
So, simply listing down topics, :
1. Filesystem basics
2. C API ( std lib + system calls )
3. Harddisk - OS interaction ( device drivers )
4. Harddisk basics - controllers/hardware
5. Virtual file system. ( Example SUN VFS )
6. Application design/implementation - explaination
As of now, i can handle any of the topics except 5.
But can read up on that. If nobody else is willing, we'll
have to split it up b/w peeyush and myself. Pep, decide which
ones you want to take up. I'll take the rest.=20
We need to start on the app. I feel we need to split it up into
2 talks, at least, if we have to do any justice to the content.
We decide by today evening on topics abd start preparing.
