Yesterday I drove along road going into Tioga Falls: going I saw prairie
warbler blue-headed vireo, bluegray gnat catchers, common yellowthroat as well
as titmice and chickadees. Coming back I saw and stopped for several young
turkey, their mothers and/or aunties, crossing the road. One adult stopped
and lay down on the asphalt for several minutes. Out on Dixie Highway just
north of West Point I saw a bald eagle a bird I wasn't expecting to see this
time of year flying along the river.
