[birdky] western Henderson Co. birding attempt.... :-(

I made the mistake of trying to go birding this morning (6AM 11/12) in western Henderson Co.

Big mistake.

I forgot today was the first day of gun deer season.

Everywhere I wanted to go there were two or three deer hunter trucks parked.

I gave up and went home.

Highlights: (seen from my truck)

Great Egrets: 9 very late season flying in a group overhead (latest I have seen in Henderson)
Mallards
Geese
Crows
Redwinged Blackbirds (flocks)
Starlings
Horned Larks
Red-tailed hawks (perched)
Mourning Doves
Robins

1 buck w/rack
2 does

Backyard:
House finches at feeder
Tufted Titmouse
Carolina Wren
House Sparrows
Robins (heard early)
White-crowned Sparrow (heard early)

Squirrels

Charlie
Henderson Co.
