[birdky] Re: snow depth . . . ?!*$#@?#!#

Hi All,
Well, here in eastern Pike Co., we have 5 1/2 inches of snow on top of a
leftover 1" from earlier in the week. And, we had the wonderful
temperature of 5 degrees this morning. I didn't even make it out of the
house and to my studio next door yesterday, and that is where I have my
computer. Naturally there are tons of birds at all the feeders, but
nothing unusual. I have been keeping an eye out for RB Nuthatches,
Grosbeaks, BC Chickadees, etc. Much to my surprise, there were TEN
Towhees at one time at one of the feeding area. Usually they are quite
self-sufficient and don't come to the feeders very much until late
winter, and never in that number! I guess all of last summer's
fledglings have returned to the place where they were brought as
youngsters.

Keep looking, and good birding to all.
