The ponds near 739 are dropping in spite of the continuation of water entering
from small intermittent streams. Yesterday's birds there included 8
Semi-palmated Sandpipers, 1 Semi-palmated Plover, a pair of Canada Geese with 4
goslings, 3 Mallards and at least a half dozen Killdeer. Also saw a wild
turkey, a deer and some Horned Larks in the corn.
