for the first time ever i saw a baltimore oriole on my farm. it was in an
aerial tiff with a red-winged blackbird. s. neace of mulenburg county who
also posts to this listserve, gave me some good tips on how she feeds
fruit.
and....the chimney swifts have been back for a while. mixed blessing
there. through the summer their young are batting around in the chimney
which opens in our bedroom. it can get pretty noisy.
