Highlights from birding in Boone and Gallatin Counties on Saturday February 21:

Wood Duck  1 male at Paint Lick Creek (Gallatin) and 2 males at Aurora 
           Ferry Road near Petersburg (Boone).

Bufflehead  1 male at Camp Ernst Lake near Burlington and 2 males at a 
            Petersburg gravel pit pond.

Bald Eagle  1 immature at Craig's Creek (Gallatin) and 1 adult at the 
            mouth of Landing Creek (Boone).

Ring-billed Gull   150 at Craig's Creek and 100 at Paint Lick Creek.

Herring Gull   3 at Craig's Creek and 5+ at Paint Lick Creek.

Great Horned Owl   1 adult on nest at Petersburg.

Rusty Blackbird   Single birds with blackbird flocks at 2 Petersburg
                  locations.
