17 December 2008:
I took a drive to get out of the office and "scout" for the upcoming
Olmstead CBC. A few count period birds were observed, just in case they
are not around on the count day. Observed at the small lake behind
Logan Memorial Hospital were:
1. 2 Gadwall
2. 4 Common Goldeneye
3. 1 Lesser Scaup
4. 1 Great Blue Heron
5. 1 Belted Kingfisher &
6. 4 Eurasian Collared-doves. (just south of Russellville in a corn
field)
That concludes this report.
