[birdky] lexington ducks

On the local CBC Saturday, Rhonda and I came across several farm ponds/lakes
with considerable activity. Near the end of Evans Mill Road (p 38: 1-I) we had
140 Canada Geese and 50 Widgeon. On Jacks Creek, ½ mile south of Shelby Lane on
the right (pond beyond the nearer pond), we had 47 Shovelers, 8 Ring-necked, 9
Hooded, 6 Buffleheads, and a couple Red-heads. And at Talon winery on Tates
Creek Road we had 33 Gadwalls, and 3 Snipe. There are 3 consecutive ponds just
inside the entrance. The Snipe were at the first along the muddy shore. A scope
is necessary at the first two sights, and helpful at the winery.
