We always have more fatalities from window strikes when the ground is snow
covered. It looks as if the snow field continues through the house so more
birds fly into our large windows. We have tried many things, almost covering
the windows in duct taps, decals, UV reflective stick-ons, etc. but nothing
seems to work well. This storm produced three or four fatalities out of 6 or
7strikes. The doves bounced off and kept going most of the times.

I was cleaning up my patio (hadn't been much of a priority) yesterday and
found a dead House Finch that had been dead perhaps that long.
