A good variety of migrants and summer residents were present yesterday (May 20)
on an afternoon hike through Gunpowder Creek Nature Park in Boone County. Some
highlights are as follows:

Yellow-billed Cuckoo (many)
Acadian Flycatcher
Least Flycatcher (2-3)
Great-crested Flycatcher
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Veery (1)
Gray-cheeked Thrush (1-2)
Swainson's Thrush (15+)
Hermit Thrush (1 well seen)
Cedar Waxwing
Magnolia Warbler (5)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (5)
Black-throated Green Warbler (1 male)
Yellow-throated Warbler (2)
Bay-breasted Warbler (1 male)
Black-and-white Warbler (1 female)
American Redstart (2 males)
Ovenbird (1)
Louisiana Waterthrush ( nest with six young)
