Levels Higher
MURRAY, KY - Congressman Ed Whitfield (R-KY) announced last night that the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Nashville District has agreed to extend the lake
levels on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes 30-days longer than the original guide
curve. The change will begin this summer. Whitfield commended the efforts of
Kentucky's Western Waterland (KWW), a regional tourism promotion organization
in western Kentucky that represents 15 counties and others interested in
tourism for helping to secure the agreement.
