The Northern Kentucky Bird Club enjoyed a hike through the Boone County Cliffs
Nature Preserve this morning. It was a beautiful spring morning with an
abundance of wildflowers on display. Birds seen or heard at the preserve and
along Middle Creek Road including the following:
Broad-winged Hawk
Wild Turkey
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Hermit Thrush
Wood Thrush
White-eyed Vireo
Yellow-throated Vireo
Blue-winged Warbler
Northern Parula
Yellow Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Yellow-throated Warbler
Palm Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Ovenbird
Louisiana Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
Hooded Warbler
Baltimore Oriole (1 stunning male reminding me why I love watching birds)
Notable yardbirds at my Burlington home included House Wren, Dark-eyed Junco,
and Purple Finch.
